The Cookhouse at Vail HQ

The Cookhouse was the hub of the wheel, the center of the enterprise, the heart of the operation. From here, cowboys rose to see the pink of dawn and rested while a scarlet dusk painted the sky. It was home. Strong coffee, beef, potatoes and pie sat on the long table. It was where they worked and where their labors were rewarded at the end of the day – the headquarters site.

Today, it is a family-friendly environment. Light entertainment is provided on occasion on a small outdoor stage, and there is never a separate charge or cover for any entertainment. Entertainment provided is mostly acoustic or small amplified trios for background ambiance focusing on folk, country-western, and American roots music which could have been typically heard on the working Vail ranch.
